Jaime Dineen of Arlington Heights was crowned queen of Chicago's St. Patrick's parade on Sunday, February 23rd, 2003 at Plumber's Hall in Chicago. She won out over 130 other contestants. Jaime is a 2002 honors graduate of St. Mary's College of Notre Dame. She was a four year member of both the basketball and volleyball teams in college. She is engaged to be married this fall.

Joining her in the queen's court this year (pictured above from left to right) are; Mary Dignan from the South Side of Chicago, Colleen Gannon of Orland Park, Meagan Murphy Hickey of Chicago's near South Side and Bridget McLaughlin of Orland Park. The queen rides in an authentic Irish jaunting cart in the parade. She is followed in the parade by her court riding in convertable cars. After the parade the queen and her court continue to make appearances on behalf of the parade.
The judges of the queen contest include prominent Chicagoans of Irish heritage. The judges look for the qualities of grace, sincerity, beauty, sense of humor, poise, personality and wit in making their choices.
